WATERBURY — Mrs. Margaret F. (Lombardi) Carlo, age 94, formerly of Ashmun Street, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Meridian Manor where she has resided for several years. She was the devoted wife of the late Louis Carlo.
Mrs. Carlo was born on Sept. 8, 1915, in Waterbury. She was a graduate of local area schools and worked as a parts inspector at Eyelet Specialty in Wallingford for more than 30 years. She was a communicant of SS. Peter and Paul Church and bowled in the Senior League at Perillo’s Bowling Lanes for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved her family.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Anita Guglielmo and her husband, Paul A., of New Port Richey, Fla.; her grandson, Paul L. Guglielmo and his wife, Angel, of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; her great-grandsons, Salvatore and Antonio Guglielmo; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Anthony, John, Adeline “Chick”, Connie and Gloria Lombardi.
The family would like to thank the staff at Meridian Manor for the many years of their kind and compassionate care shown to Margaret.
There are no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Maiorano Funeral Home is entrusted with all arrangements.
