PLYMOUTH — Mr. Ted Albert Williams, 55, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. He was the husband of Bao Zhu (Xu) Williams.
Mr. Williams was born May 16, 1954, in Holden, Mass., son of Mary Lou (Harmon) Pierce of Texas and the late Leslie H. Williams. Mr. Williams had been self-employed as a mechanical and electrical engineer. He was a member of the Thomaston Fish and Game Club, Sons of the American Legion, was a retired member of the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department and a former communicant of St. Thomas Church.
He enjoyed fixing cars, fishing, traveling for work, helping people with anything they needed at any time, his 1967 Chevelle and most of all spending time with the apple of his eye, his grandson, Evan.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepfather, George Pierce of Texas; one son, Ted Joshua “Josh” Williams of Watertown; four sisters, Debra Villa and her husband, Joseph, of California, JoAnne Julian and her husband, Richard, of Oakville, Diane Engle of Florida and Lisa Friedrich of Florida; one grandson, Evan Joshua Williams of Watertown; and several nephews and nieces.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Terryville. Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
