WATERBURY — Robert J. Sandulli, age 70, of Ferndale Avenue, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of Mary (Barile) Sandulli.
Mr. Sandulli was born on Aug. 31, 1941, in Waterbury, a son of the late Louis and Philomena E. (DiLeone) Sandulli. He was a graduate of Croft High School and worked as a mechanic for the State of Connecticut for 30 years. Bob also served as an auxiliary police officer in the town of Cheshire for over 15 years. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid stock car racing fan.
In addition to his wife of 23 years, Mary, Robert is survived by his daughters, Emily Sandulli and her fiance, Kenneth Gotay, of Waterbury and Elizabeth M. Sandulli of New Britain; his brother, Anthony Sandulli and his wife, Patricia, of Waterbury; his sister, Valerie McDowell and her husband, Gene, of Southington; and his sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” Sandulli of Wolcott, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Francis Sandulli.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main St., Waterbury. Maiorano Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
