Salvatore J. Pappalardo, Jr. 85, of Heritage Way, Torrington died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of Dolores (Giglio) Pappalardo.
Mr. Pappalardo was born on December 8, 1926, in Winsted, CT, the son of the late Salvatore and Concetta Pappalardo. He was employed by the Torrington Company with the Needle Division, and later by Yankee Dental Arts as a Courier. He was a member of the Torrington Elks Lodge #372 and a lifelong communicant of St. Peter Church. He loved both owning and showing classic cars.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, Dolores, he is survived by two sons, Mark and Gregg, both of Torrington; one daughter, Kathi Lemieux of Torrington; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Lemieux.
