OXFORD — E. Eric Arsan Jr., age 54, a lifetime Oxford resident, entered into peaceful rest on March 25, 2013 at his home with his devoted family and friends and faithful dogs by his side; he was the beloved husband of Susan (MacDonald) Arsan.
Eric was born March 1, 1959 in Derby, son of the late Edwin Eric Sr. and Jeanette (Hutt) Arsan. He was a truck driver with the State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation.
Eric enjoyed camping, car shows, trucks, trips to the casino, but mostly spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, he leaves his loving family including a son, Eric Arsan III, daughters Amanda and Holly Arsan, all of Oxford; sisters, Nancy Ainsworth (Robert) of Oxford, and Bonnie Alvelo (George) of Seymour; his granddaughter, Lilyonna Arsan; several nieces and nephews; and his dear friend, Chuck Fisher of Oxford.
A funeral service in celebration of Eric’s life will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m.
