Mr. Domenic Neri, 64, passed away Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at his home in Finger, TN, formerly of Waterbury and Prospect. Domenic was born on October 24, 1948 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Paul and Maria Elena (DiCarlo) Neri. Domenic served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Dom Neri Trucking in Prospect, CT. and later owned Neri Auto and Equipment Sales in Finger, TN.
Domenic is survived by his children, Domenic Neri Jr. and his wife Marci of Waterbury, Elena (Neri) Jackman of Hartsville, SC, David Neri and his wife Amy of Wallingford and Daniel Neri of Finger, TN along with 6 grandchildren Nicholas, Nathan, Damian, Anthony, Matthew and William. He also leaves his brother Rocco Neri of Waterbury and his sisters, Fortune Atchison of Finger, TN, Margaret DuBois and her husband, Mark, of Worcester, MA, Gloria Fischer and her husband Ray of Cape Coral, FL and Dolores Buechele and her husband Donald of Wolcott and a half-brother Salvatore Neri and his wife Lina of Port Chester, NY. In addition he leaves several nieces and nephews. Domenic is predeceased by his brother Michael Neri.
The funeral will be held 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury, to Basilica of the Immaculate Conception for a Mass at 9 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery on East Main Street, Waterbury.
