OAKVILLE — Mr. Richard C. “Rico” DellaCroce, age 62, of Oakville, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Debbie (Cuddy) DellaCroce.
Rico was born in Waterbury on July 15, 1951, son of the late Vincent and Theresa (Ingala) DellaCroce, and was a truck driver for Moffo Trucking in Prospect for 30 years. He loved classic cars and was the proud owner of a classic Camaro. He worked on cars for all his friends and was a huge UConn women’s basketball fan. Rico liked Harley Davidson motorbikes and was a member of the Waterbury Lodge of Elks BPOE 265.
Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Richard C. DellaCroce Jr.; brother Vincent DellaCroce; sisters Rose Lacerenza and Dolores DellaCroce; grandchildren Jeffrey and Jasmine Wright and Richard Joseph DellaCroce; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Theresa DellaCroce, and his sister, Katherine Arnauckas.
Arrangements: Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
