The Brass City Cruisers are shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Bill Canale. Bill passed suddenly at about 2:00 am this morning.
Bill was a fixture back to the early days of classic cars, cruising, and racing in the Greater Waterbury area. He worked at D&D Performance Center in the Colonial Plaza and is best remembered for his green Chevrolet Nova and more recently his Ford roadster, which he just completed. He even was instrumental in the rebirth of cruising at the Colonial Plaza several years ago. Though beset my medical problems for the past few years, he rebounded and continued to cruise with his classic cars.
In fact, and to make this even more shocking, he was at our car cruise at Quiznos last night, just hours before he passed away. He seemed to be in good spirits as he made his way around talking to his fellow cruisers.
But moreover, he was a husband, a father, and a veteran of the Vietnam War. The Brass City Cruisers and friends would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to his wife and his entire family.
