WATERBURY — Mr. Anthony J. “T-Bone” Raimo, 68, passed away Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Saint Mary’s Hospital in the presence of his loving family. He was the husband of Carol (Diogostine) Raimo.
Tony was born in Waterbury on July 29, 1946, son of the late Louis and Josephine (Accardi) Raimo. He worked as a tool setter for Marvel Screw Machine Products for many years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed fishing and ice fishing, going to the movies, and most especially spending quality time with his grandchildren. He was a big fan of dinosaurs and was fond of classic cars.
Besides his wife, Carol, of 47 years, he leaves a son, Louis A. Raimo of Waterbury; a daughter, Carolyn M. Hastings and her husband, Earl, of Meriden; a sister, Beverly Fusco and her husband, Fiorino, of Prospect; two granddaughters, Jasmine and Kyla Hastings of Meriden; a brother-in-law, John Diogostino and his wife, Eleanor; a sister-in-law, Cindy English Raimo of Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Raimo.
Arrangements: Funeral will be held 8:30 a.m. Friday at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 309 South Main St., Waterbury, for a Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
