NAUGATUCK — Janel C. Palange, age 30, of Naugatuck, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Born in Bridgeport on Oct. 27, 1984, she was the daughter of Daniel and Candice Porco Palange. She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and Naugatuck Valley Community College, where she earned an associate’s degree in accounting. She was employed as a quality assurance administrator for Aurora Products in Orange.

Janel enjoyed spending her time with her fiancé, family and friends. Janel loved to spoil her niece Jalyssa by always taking her to concerts. She also enjoyed spending time riding with her fiancé on their motorcycle and cooking for her parents.

Janel and her fiancé were also avid “foodies” who enjoyed trying new restaurants.

Janel dedicated her time helping organizations that were near and dear to her heart, such as The Jordan Porco Foundation, The Petite Race and Motorcycle Ride and multiple activities at the YoCrunch Co.

She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Daniel and Candice of Naugatuck, Janel is survived by her fiancé Anthony Page of East Haven; her sister, Jessica Howell and her husband Jason of Naugatuck; her maternal grandmother, Elvira Manzo Porco of Milford; aunts and uncles, Dawn and Robert Cataldo of Milford, Ernest and Marisa Porco of Andover, JoAnn Tope and Emin Clemick of Missouri, Carmella Tope, Mimi Palange and Alvina Fancuilli; her godmother, JoAnn Manzo of Bridgeport; nieces, Jalyssa, Amber, Alyssa and Alaina Howell; cousins, Taylor Porco, Jason, Joshua, Justin, Valerie and Casey Cataldo, Jenna and Peter Ireland, Anthony Simko, Brayden Ireland, Kevin and Frank Galek.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her fiancé’s family, future brother-in-law, Brian Page Jr. of East Haven; future sister-in-law, AnnMarie Files and her husband Eric of Bristol; nieces and nephews, Jace Files, Brian Page, Jaedyn Correa and her beloved dog, Bella.

Janel was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Ernest Porco; paternal grandparents, Angelo and Martha Palange; cousin, Jordan Porco; and her future-in-laws, Michelina and Brian Page Sr.

A memorial Mass celebrating her life will take place on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at 11 a.m. directly in St. Raphael Church, 162 Oak St., Bridgeport, Conn. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
