WALLINGFORD – Thomas S. Falconieri, 65, of Wallingford, loving husband of Laura Hanson Falconieri, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at MidState Medical Center.
Tom was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Dec. 15, 1950, a son of Doris F. Peterson Falconieri of Charlotte, North Carolina and the late Salvatore L. Falconieri. Tom was a self-employed mechanic and the owner of Tom’s Service Center on Broad Street in Meriden, where he worked side by side with his right hand man and nephew Jim Falconieri for the past 30 years. Since 1967, Tom was a member of the Connecticut Street Rod Association in Wallingford, where he leaves many friends, and had a passion for street rods. Tom was a representative and chairman of the Northeast Street Rod Organization and a state representative and advisor for over 40 years of the National Street Rod Association.
In addition to his wife, Laura, and his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Rosanne Brennan and her husband, Will, of Wallingford; his wife Laura’s two children, Jessica and Eric Wysocki; three grandchildren; his sister, Sally Bixby and her husband, Thomas, of North Carolina; his brother, James Falconieri and his wife, Judy, of North Stonington; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Connecticut Street Rod Association, 316 Woodhouse Ave., Wallingford, Sunday, Jan. 10, from 2 until 5 p.m., where family and friends will have the opportunity to share stories and memories about Tom.
