OAKVILLE — James A. O’Connor, 53, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 22, 2016, at his home. He was the husband of Jean (Wolff) O’Connor.
James was born March 31, 1962, in Waterbury, a son of the late William T. and Anna L. (Queiroga) O’Connor, and was a lifelong Oakville resident. James was a factory worker who had worked at several area manufacturing facilities. He was a loving husband and father.
Besides his wife of 25 years of Oakville, he leaves a son, Robert O’Connor of Oakville; a sister, Patricia Perrella and her husband, Frank, of Middlebury; his mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Wolff; two brothers-in-law, John Paul Wolff II and Brian Wolff; two sisters-in-law, Michelle Fitzgerald and Denise Wolff; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William O’Connor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday directly at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church in Waterbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St. has been entrusted with his arrangements.
