WATERTOWN — Mrs. Mary M. (Schiller) Majauskas, 62, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital on March 17, 2016 after a brief illness. She was the wife of James J. Majauskas.
Mary was born in Waterbury, Sept. 27, 1953, daughter of Mary (Dolan) Schiller of Beacon Falls and the late Louis Schiller. She was raised in Naugatuck and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School, class of 1971. A resident of Watertown since 1975, she was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.
Mary enjoyed going on walks, gardening and cats. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Besides her mother and husband of more than 40 years, Mary leaves her son, Michael Majauskas and his wife Catherine, of Thomaston; two brothers, Louis Schiller of New Haven and Thomas Schiller of Beacon Falls; a grandson, Zachary Ocskasy of Thomaston; an uncle, Thomas Dolan and his wife Ruth, of Naugatuck; two brothers-in-law, Frank Majauskas of Thomaston and Richard Majauskas and his wife Evelyn, of Virginia; a niece, Cathy; a nephew, Stephen; and a cousin, Thomas Dolan of California.
Funeral services for Mary will be held Wednesday morning, 9:15 a.m. from Hickcox Funeral Home, 195 Main St., to St. John the Evangelist Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening 7 to 9 p.m.
