WATERTOWN – James T. Lukasavage, age 73, of Oakville, passed away on August 22, 2016, at Waterbury Hospital.
James was born November 11, 1942, in Waterbury, the son of the late John and Mary (Cavanaugh) Lukasavage. Mr. Lukasavage worked as an Aeronautical Engineer and consultant for many large companies and traveled around the world. He received his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana. James also obtained his pilot’s license and was associated with Oxford Airport. He was also a classic car enthusiast.
He is survived by his brother, John Lukasavage and his wife, Patricia, of Thomaston; a sister, Irene Lukasavage of Oakville; a nephew, John R. Lukasavage and his wife, Jacqueline, of Jacksonville, FL, and John R’s son, John; nieces Laurie Lukasavage and her children, Kimberly and Michael, and Lynn Thorpe and her husband, Ken, of Sutton, VT; and James’ dear friend, Gerry Celotti.
Funeral and burial services for Mr. Lukasavage will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. The O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville, has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
