WATERBURY – Mrs. Dorothea Guerrera, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016 at Waterbury Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Waterbury on June 28, 1940 to the late Theodore and Agatha Derouin, she is survived by her children, Mrs. Charlotte McCammon, Mr. Charles Guerrera Jr. and his wife Denise, Ms. Catherine Guerrera and Mr. Nicholas Guerrera; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Rose-Ellen Theriault, Theodore and Sandy Derouin and Geni Derouin; and her sister-in-law, Dolores Derouin.
She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Derouin; brother-in-law John Theriault Sr.; and her son-in-law, John McCammon Jr.
She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and employed for 30 years as a CNA by Park Manor in Waterbury. Her hobbies included crocheting and bingo.
A Mass will be celebrated on Sept. 14, 2016 at 9 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St., Waterbury, CT 06706.
