Judith Ann Jimmo, 71, of Woodbury, passed away comfortably and surrounded by family on Saturday, October 21st, 2017.
Affectionately known as Judi, she was the daughter of the late Clark and Hazel Coddington, also of Woodbury, and she graduated from Woodbury High School class of 1964 . She enjoyed her many years as a school bus driver in both the Woodbury and Waterbury school systems and also served as the safety supervisor and school bus driving instructor for Laidlaw Transportation. Even after retirement, Judi became a driving instructor for The Next Street Driving school.
Judi was a loving and patient caregiver for many years to her mother, father and autistic sister, which drove her passion as an advocate for the special needs community. She served on the board of directors for PrimeCare INC . She was a loving wife, mother and caretaker to many. Those who knew Judi will miss her larger-than-life personality and infectious smile.
Judi is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wright L. Jimmo, Jr., of Woodbury, son Jeffery Jimmo, daughter Michelle Jimmo, and daughter Amanda Coppola (Michael); her sisters, Diana Neal and Martha Yankauskas (Joseph), and several nieces and nephews. Judi is predeceased by her sister Pamela Joy Codington and her sister/partner in crime, Brenda E Coddington.
A celebration of Judi’s life will be held on November 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at North Congregational Church, 11 Main St N., Woodbury, CT 06798. Reception immediately following in the North Church Women’s Fellowship Parlor. Burial will be private and at the families convenience. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to PrimeCare Inc at 562 Watertown ave Suite 3 , Waterbury Ct, 06708. Please reference Judi Jimmo on the donation.
