Diana (Coddington) Neal, 74, passed away peacefully Sunday February 18th at her home with her family present. She was the widow of Les Neal.
Mrs. Neal was born August 15, 1943 in Waterbury , CT. The daughter of Clark and Hazel Coddington. She is pre-deceased by her sisters Brenda Coddington, Judy Jimmo and Pamela Coddington. She leaves behind her son Steve Walker and his wife Katherine. She also leaves behind her sister Martha Yankauskas and her husband Joe, her brother-in-law Wright Jimmo and several nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Woodbury High School. In her lifetime she worked as a waitress and a florist, though she devoted most of her career working at the Woodbury Public Library as a librarian for 34 years prior to her retirement in 2014.
For over 63 years she was a member of North Congregational Church where she proudly served as a deacon and was a board member for the Women’s Fellowship.
She was a devoted mother who enjoyed gardening and watching as many Yankee games as she could during baseball season. She loved her tea and listening to Elvis Presley and Keith Urban. She enjoyed lunch with friends and being active in her community.
Calling hours will be at North Congregational Church, Saturday February 24th beginning at 10:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception provided by the Women’s Fellowship. Burial is private.
