Annmarie Iosa, 65, of Waterbury, longtime resident of Wolcott, entered into the gates of heaven on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Annmarie was born in Waterbury on August 10, 1953, daughter of the late John A. and Ralphalena (DiDonato) Iosa. Growing up in Wolcott, Annmarie attended Wolcott Schools and graduated from Wolcott High School. She was a Certified Respiratory Therapist and did so at Waterbury Hospital, Saint Mary’s Hospital and most recently for Gaylord Hospital for 13 years. Annmarie loved all kinds of animals, especially elephants and adored her cats and her African Grey Parrot, Bella. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially around the holidays.
Annmarie leaves behind to cherish her memory her brothers; John J. Iosa and his wife Ann of Southbury and Anthony R. Iosa of Wolcott. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews; Michael Iosa and his wife Kristen of Shelton, Danielle Phipps and her husband Eric of Southbury, Anthony Iosa of Watertown, Jackelyn Iosa of Middleburg, FL, Christopher Iosa of Torrington, CT as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held for Annmarie on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. A prayer service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
