TORRINGTON – Betty Cable, age 81 of Torrington, formerly of Seymour; she entered into peaceful rest on Sept. 12, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Cable.
Betty was born Dec. 5, 1939 in Lock Haven, Pa., and was the beloved daughter of Martha (Schultz) Daugherty. Betty was a nurse who served with the U.S. Army.
She had a beautiful, generous heart and loved caring for others. Betty loved being with her family. Whether it be weekend fishing (one of her favorites), sleepovers with the grandkids (which she thoroughly enjoyed), or sitting together listening to sports talk (which she tolerated while with them).
Betty leaves her loving family, including her son, Richard Cable Jr. (Noel) of Waterbury; her daughter, Cynthia Schnabel (Frederick Sr.) of Torrington; her brother, Gary Daugherty (Marvene) in Pennsylvania, and her sister, Beverly Wonders (Glen) in Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Nicole, Freddy and Ellie; and several nieces and nephews.
All services are private. Interment will be in Pines Bridge Cemetery, Beacon Falls.
