Allan J. DiBeneditto, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his home. He was the loving husband of Linda (Lombardo) DiBeneditto.

Born in Waterbury on November 30, 1946, Allan was the son of the late Pasquale and Yolanda (Giattino) DiBeneditto. In his younger years, he worked for Bristol Babcock and then for Reymond’s Bakery for over 20 years. He later worked as the yard supervisor for Albert Brothers for 20 years until his retirement. After retirement, Allan was a familiar face at Waterbury Hospital, where he worked part-time in the gift shop for five years. An avid classic car aficionado, Allan owned a 1956 Chevrolet and enjoyed attending local car shows. Allan looked forward to joining his brother and other friends, frequently, for their breakfast outings. He followed national politics and loved to watch and discuss what was happening on the national stage.

In addition to Linda, his wife of 55 years, Allan is survived by his sons, Jeffrey A. DiBeneditto and his wife Nichole of Oakville and Matthew J. DiBeneditto and his partner JJ of San Diego, CA; and his grandchildren, Coty Delvalle and his significant other Amanda Pickert of Torrington, Tyler Maietto of TN, and Brandon Maietto of Oakville. He also leaves his beloved great-grandchildren Coty, Jr. and Ava; his brother Pasquale “Pat” DiBeneditto and his wife Ann of Thomaston, and his brother-in-law John Lombardo and his wife Mary of Cape Cod, MA as well as several nieces and nephews. Allan was predeceased by his brother-in-law Jimmy Lombardo and his sister-in-law, Catherine “Cathy” Teixera.
