WATERBURY – Mr. Thomas V. “Tom” Ulinskas, 75, of Waterbury, entered into the gates of heaven on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was the companion of Sharon (Allen) Trainor of Waterbury.
Tom was born in Waterbury on April 17, 1946, son of the late Thomas V. and Marcella Mary (Saviskas) Ulinskas Sr. He worked 45 years as a high voltage electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 42, specializing in building underground Power Grids until his retirement in 2008.
He was a avid car enthusiast and very proud owner of his 1964 Dodge Polara with 800 horse power 550 CI Hemi. He was a skilled hunter having hunted Africa and all over the United States. He was a longtime member of the Chase Rifle & Pistol Club since 1966.
He leaves to honor and cherish his memory, two daughters, Laurie DelTorto and her husband, Dominic, of Bethlehem, and Amy Ulinskas of Southington; and six grandchildren, Zachary Wagner, Tyler Wagner, Kylie Lawrence, Zoe Lawrence, Kendra DelTorto and Devin DelTorto. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Haley Rose Lawrence.
A Mass of Christian Burial with cremains present will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2021, at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
