OAKVILLE- Arthur W. Atwood Jr. 64, of Main Street, died Saturday September 11, 2021 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Toni (Bradshaw) Atwood.
Arthur was born in Waterbury on October 23, 1956. Son of the late Arthur W. Atwood Sr. and Jane (Legge) Atwood. He attended school in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School. He was a member of the VFW Post 7330, Davis Street Oakville for many years. He enjoyed helping people in his community through his work with the VFW and with volunteering his time for others.
Arthur Leaves behind his wife Toni of Oakville, one brother; Steven Atwood of Oakville, two sisters; Karen Atwood and Dawn Meoni of Waterbury, Nineteen Nieces and Nephews; Madeline, Stephanie, Nicholas, Jerry, John, Susanna, Matthew, Patrick, Rebecca, Marietta, Audrey, Tina, Chaisty, Monya, Mira, Megan, David, Jason, and George, many grand nieces and grand nephews, his brother in law Walter Bradshaw of Oxford and grandmother Willetta Bradshaw of Oakville and his dog Honey.
Calling Hours will be held Tuesday September 14, 2021 at Hickcox Funeral Home 195 Main Street Watertown. from 5-7PM. Graveside service and burial will be held Wednesday September 15, 2021 at 10:00AM, Evergreen Cemetery, 183 North Street, Watertown.
