John E. Davie of Naugatuck passed away on 11/23/2021 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
John was born on August 24, 1952 in New Haven, CT to the late John Ian and Beverly Sawin Davie. He was the beloved husband of Khong Ratanavong Davie. John is survived by his brothers, Raymond Davie (Wendy) and Thomas Davie and several nieces and a nephew. His mother-in-law Chinnary Ratanavong, brother-in-law Michael Ratanavong (Anne), sister-in-laws Savannary Antonini (Jeff), Susan Nadesan (Revi), and Diana Ratanavong (Tom).
John graduated from Clarkson University in 1974 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed and retired from Watermark Environmental Consulting, as a Building Inspector.
John was calm and quiet man. He was an Outdoorsman; he loved fishing, hunting and boating. He was a member of the Meriden Rod & Gun Club. John and Khong enjoyed bringing their classic cars to local Cruise Nights and Car Shows.
The family would like to thank Dr.Anamika Katoch and the entire staff at Harold Leever. And, the Hospital staff at Saint Mary’s and the VITAS team.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of Brookside Memorial in Middlebury, CT.
