WATERBURY – William “Billy” Treat, born March 20, 1943, passed away Nov. 22, 2021, at the age of 78 after a brief illness. He had lived in Waterbury all his life.
However, you knew him as, be it Billy, Willy, or Shorty; he was quick with a smile and loved to tell stories of years past.
He lived an interesting life, from help looking after his eight nieces and nephews, to horse and jockey trainer at the various race tracks. Billy enjoyed being employed at Waterbury Stop & Shop for many years and was considered to be an icon there.
One of his favorite hobbies was riding his bicycle around town, and meeting people on the way.
His best friend and partner for more than 20 years, Judith Radtke, and many nieces and nephews will deeply miss him. Billy has finally now joined his beloved dog Bruiser.
Please join us in celebrating his life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at Waterbury Baptist Ministries, 222 W. Main St., Waterbury.
