DELAND, Fla. – Elizabeth (Betty) Franceskino, 89, of DeLand, Fla., passed away unexpectedly at Florida Hospital.
She was born May 12, 1933 in Waterbury, Conn., and was a resident of Watertown, Conn., until moving to Florida.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas. She leaves behind her 10 children, Dayle O’Brien (John), Thomas Franceskino Jr. (Jan), Steven Franceskino (Jane), Joni Facer, special son Michael Franceskino, Sandra Hordos (Tom), Raymond Franceskino, John Franceskino (Donna), Frank Franceskino (Dawn) and Judy Blass (Ron); as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother Joseph Wilcox and sister Barbara Turcotte.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Victoria Wilcox, and brothers William, Robert, Earl and George Wilcox.
Special thanks to her closest friend Julian and neighbor Deja, as well as Pastor Peter Mignor of DeLand Church of the Nazarene, of which she was a parishioner.
Betty worked for Quality Inn for many years. She enjoyed planting her flowers, feeding the birds and stray cats, but most of all spending time with Michael and volunteering for ARC activities for children with disabilities.
Burial in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury, will be private at the convenience of her family.
