The Brass City Cruisers are saddened to report the death of longtime friend to both the Brass City Cruisers and cruising community Bob Liedlich after an illness. He passed away early this morning. We first met Bob at Roy Rogers in Waterbury with his 1961 white Ford Thunderbird. From there he cruised all of the local spots over the years: Me-Ma’s in Waterbury, Paul’s in Cheshire, Fritz’s in Oxford, Cross Pointe in Naugatuck, and Wendy’s in Waterbury. Bob was one of the small group of volunteers who immediately stepped up to help us at Wendy’s when we asked for assistance with the cruise. He always smiled and never complained. We are going to miss his weekly requests for a dance song and dedication to Patti.
Our condolences to his daughter Tina and his family, and to Patti. He will remain with us in spirit.
